Second Week at SLIIT Academy

After a week I’m back on here. Its Monday and we had Essential Communication Skills lecture as usual. There were more students today than the previous week. Today we got to learn how to write a Semi-Formal Email and an Informal Email with the help from our lecturer. After the lecture we had an In Class Test from Essential Communication Skills lecture, this was our very first exam at the SLIIT Academy.
What we learned today:
- We learned basics of C# language.
- How to use Variables in C#
- How to use Methods.
- And the Structure of C# program.
01st Of December, 2021
It’s a new month already and we are getting closer to a new year. Today as usual we had Programming Concepts lecture in the morning.
What we learned today:
- How to identify Inputs, Outputs and Processing Steps for a given problem.
- How to write the solution algorithm in Pseudo Code.
- How To understand how to use the Selection Control Structures to solve the problem.
At the end of the lecture, miss gave us some practice questions to try using what we learnt.
In the afternoon, it’s the Mathematics for Computing lecture. It’s the second day of this lecture and I’m personally very fond of this session because I like Mathematics. We got to learn the conversion of number systems today.
Conversion of Number Systems
- Binary ➡ Decimal
- Binary ➡ Octal
- Binary ➡ Hexadecimal
02nd Of December, 2021
Today we didn’t have our morning lecture because it was conducted on Monday. And in the afternoon we had the Database Design Concept Lecture. We got to learn,
- How create SQL Queries,
- How to understand the different clauses in the SQL Query.
- How to understand the different operators used to filter the records.
- And how to work with multiple conditions
We got to experience new Softwares and new tools again in this week. See you Next Week.👋👋
